VPIP- an important attribute of poker calculators
With the rise in the poker software market, the features offered by the various calculators have become very important. All the companies offer the same features. Out of the many functions performed by a poker calculator, the VPIP measurement is the most considered and basic function. It is basically an indicator of the player’s interest to get involved in a pot. It thus forms a crucial attribute of the calculators.
VPIP stands for Voluntary Putting money in to the Pot. It’s the best way to know your opponent’s strategy. For the indications to be accurate, some other indicators are also considered. The indications are mostly correct as the calculators take in account (Unable to Open a Checking Account)many points before giving any indication. Whenever a player goes into a pot, it is added to the VPIP. It is then expressed in a percentage. A VPIP 20 percentage is normal and that between 24 and 30 is generally an indicator of the opponent’s straight position and those with percentage of 30 are all hands above. A percentage of 40 indicates that the player is has nothing left with him. A percentage of less than 20 indicate the opponent’s strong poison than yours.
